<p><strong>WEDNESDAY MORNING BOOK GROUP</strong><br />
will be reading <em>The Last Week: What the Gospels Really Teach About Jesus&#8217; Final Days in Jerusalem</em>, by Marcus Borg and John Dominic Crossan, during Lent. <p><strong>THE WAY OF THE CROSS</strong>:<br />
A solemn liturgy for walking and praying the journey of Jesus from his condemnation to his being laid in the tomb will be led each Friday during Lent at noon. The stunning depictions in glass and brass were made by Dr. Thomas Leonard.</p>

The sessions will close with a Life Application discussion and prayers.  These sessions will increase your knowledge and experience in the Episcopal way of living the Christian Tradition.  This or a similar program is expected of those who wish to be received or confirmed. Readings from <em>My Faith, My Life </em>are recommended but not required.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>A Julian Gathering is a small group of people meeting to support each other in the practice of contemplative prayer and spirituality. These gatherings are supported by the Order of Julian of Norwich (www.orderofjulian.org) and have the quintessentially Anglican writings of Bl. Mother Julian of Norwich at their core. They are for everybody who wants to deepen their life of faith through the practice of contemplative prayer. Each meeting includes time for contemplative prayer, fellowship, and reading/discussion of Bl. Julian&#8217;s revelations. At the beginning of each meeting, brief instruction on the practice of contemplative prayer is offered. A Julian Gathering meets at St. Dunstan&#8217;s the second Wednesday of the month at 7:15 pm.</p>
<p>Time for still, contemplative prayer is offered Friday mornings, 8-8:30 am, in the sanctuary at St. Andrew&#8217;s Episcopal Church, 1833 Regent Street, Madison, 608-233-3249.</p>
